Say, Pi transforms how you interact with Pi AI, enabling natural voice conversations instead of typing. Here's how to get up and running quickly.

Installation

  1. Choose your platform:
    • Desktop browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, Arc, Opera, Firefox, and other Chromium browsers
    • Android browser extensions in Firefox and Kiwi
    • iOS Safari is Pi-only and limited; it is not a reliable ChatGPT install path today
  2. Install the extension/app:
    • For browsers: Visit your browser's extension store and search for "Say, Pi"
    • For ChatGPT on mobile: use Android Firefox or Kiwi while mobile support continues to improve
  3. Grant permissions:
    • Allow microphone access when prompted
    • This is essential for voice functionality

Initial Setup

  1. Open Pi AI in your browser

Your First Voice Conversation

  1. Click the call icon to start speaking
  2. Speak naturally to Pi AI
  3. Listen to Pi's response through your device speakers

Tips for Best Results

  • Speak clearly at a normal pace
  • Use a quiet environment when possible
  • Position yourself within 2 feet of your microphone
  • Try hands-free interrupt mode to create more natural conversations
